Cod Fish II – Bourne’s, Great & Green Pond Entrance Channels, Falmouth

Last week all three projects in Falmouth were completed. On Tuesday, Bourne’s Pond Entrance Channel was completed. The volume target was 4,084 Cubic Yards. On Thursday, Great Pond Entrance Channel was started and completed. The volume target was 265 Cubic Yards. And on Friday, Green Pond Entrance Channel was started and was completed at noon on Saturday. With another five day Horseshoe Crab closure scheduled to start on Sunday, the crew worked 12 hours on Friday to ensure that this project would be completed before the closure.  The volume target was 901 Cubic Yards. A Post-Dredge Survey will be completed this week and once available the results will be posted.

These three projects complete the 2020 – 2021 dredging season for the Cod Fish II. She will be moved to Waqouit Bay for the summer over the next week for annual maintenance.

Sand Shifter – Allen Harbor, Harwich

The next project for the Sand Shifter is Allen Harbor. The target volume is 10,913 Cubic Yards. We are tentatively scheduled to start this project on June 1st. The pipe and Sand Shifter are still in Aunt Lydia’s Cove and will be moved mid-week to setup prior to the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
