Albert to bring history of advocacy to county administrator role
Elizabeth Albert began her work in housing advocacy by spending a lot of time in nursing homes.
“I probably went to every single nursing home in Philadelphia and the counties around Philadelphia,” she said.
It was the early 1990s, and Albert was working outside of Philadelphia at Liberty Resources, a center for independent living that secures fair, accessible housing on behalf of people with disabilities.
