Barnstable County Regional Vaccine Clinic Update
2/9/2021 This morning, Barnstable County opened registration for Phase II clinics at the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis and the Little Creek Parking Area in Eastham. It took roughly 30 minutes for both clinics to fill to capacity. Further, several of you noticed that the clinics weren’t posted at precisely 9am and for that, we sincerely apologize. We are working towards making the necessary adjustments to improve our procedures and ask for your patience as we figure out this uncharted territory. We do hope, however, that receiving advance notice of when clinic registration opened helped people to plan accordingly. As we receive vaccine, we hope every aspect of this process will be come easier. Thank you for your continued patience during this frustrating time.
Barnstable County Health and Environment is following federal and state guidelines for distribution. As we move through the three phases of vaccine distribution in the Commonwealth, the vaccine will be offered at no cost to residents in Barnstable County who want it as soon as larger quantities become available.
As vaccine supply becomes steadier and we embark on vaccinating our most vulnerable residents in Phase 2, please continue taking precautions to inhibit community spread.
