The Dredge Report | Week of December 20, 2020
Cod Fish II: Dredging was completed in Provincetown harbor along the ‘wave attenuator’, just adjacent to MacMillan Pier. The shoaling required dredging to keep the channel clear in this busy area of the harbor. We’re hoping for a calm day over the new few days so we can move the Cod Fish II to the next project in Sesuit Harbor, Dennis.
Below see photos of dredging operations in the harbor.
Sand Shifter: Dredging operations continued at Little Bay in Bourne, and on Tuesday we had to stop to fuel the Sand Shifter and the Cod Fish I. With the dredging distance to the discharge site now exceeding 3,000’, we had to add additional pipe and connect it to the Cod Fish I (now a Booster Station). The booster helps to keep the dredged material flowing and eases the demand on the Sand Shifter.
