Barnstable County Human Rights Advisory Commission Announces Applications for the Rosenthal and Cornerstone Human Rights Awards

(Barnstable, MA – November 5, 2020) – The Barnstable County Human Rights Advisory Commission (HRAC) is accepting nominations through November 30, 2020 for the Rosenthal and Cornerstone Human Rights Awards (see links below). These awards are presented at the Annual HRAC Awards Breakfast, being held virtually on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 8:30 am to 10:00 am.

The Rosenthal Community Champion Award, named after Irving Leopold Rosenthal, is given to individuals in the public sector (law enforcement, elected officials, etc.) recognized by their peers, community, and associates as individuals who have fostered and supported human rights, concepts, and ideals, particularly those who have worked to advance human rights and to eliminate discrimination against immigrants in Barnstable County. The Cornerstone Award is given to individuals recognized by their peers, community, and associates as those who have fostered and supported human rights, concepts, and ideals. Link: 2020 Cornerstone Award Nomination Form
