COVID-19 patients on Cape take different paths to recovery

For COVID-19 patients, the path to recovery contains many unknowns, even for people with mild to moderate cases. “People can and do recover, and we need to remember that,” Public Health Commissioner Monica Bharel said late last month after she recovered from her own COVID-19 diagnosis and returned to work. Public health officials are working on how to document and report recovery figures to the public along with ongoing daily reports of total cases — more than 78,000 to date in Massachusetts — and deaths.
