Commissioner Mary Pat Flynn Awarded Special Recognition

During the regularly scheduled Barnstable County Commissioners’ meeting on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, Barnstable County Commissioner Mary Pat Flynn was awarded a special recognition for her service to the community.
Members of the Mercy Otis Warren Cape Cod Woman of the Year Award Committee Alice George and Ann Canedy presented the award to Commissioner Mary Pat Flynn. Alice George spoke to Commissioner Flynn’s dedication, leadership and service to the Cape Cod community over the course of many years. She noted Commissioner Flynn’s career as a Nurse Supervisor and later owner of the Village Pantry in Falmouth, her service as a Selectman for the Town of Falmouth for over two decades, and her role as a Barnstable County Commissioner for the past ten years. Several members of the community were present to commemorate the event.
