Swearing in Ceremony for Newly Elected County Officials

Wednesday, January 2, 2019 – During the first regular County Commissioners’ meeting of 2019, newly elected County officials were sworn in at Barnstable County.
Ronald Bergstrom, formerly a member of the Assembly of Delegates representing Chatham since 2007, was sworn in as the newest Regional County Commissioner. There was also a unanimous vote to appoint Mr. Bergstrom as Chairman. The Chairman is responsible for putting together the commission’s agenda and presiding over the board’s weekly meetings.
John F. Meade was also sworn in as Registrar of Deeds. Mr. Meade is the elected Register of Deeds and has held the position since 1989.
