Holiday Lights Recycling at Cape Transfer Stations

Barnstable, MAAmeriCorps Cape Cod and the Cape Cod Cooperative Extension are organizing a holiday lights recycling drive in partnership with the town transfer stations. The Bourne, Sandwich, Mashpee, Barnstable, Yarmouth, Brewster, Harwich, Provincetown, Wellfleet, and Truro transfer stations will be collecting used, unwanted, or broken holiday string lights until Saturday, January 12, 2019. AmeriCorps members will be collecting the string lights and bringing them to Ferreira’s Metal Recycling in Hyannis, where the copper and other metals in the strings will be recycled.
