Barnstable County Human Rights Commission Seeks New Commissioners

The Barnstable County Human Rights Commission is seeking candidates to fill three vacancies on the Commission for three-year terms and one vacancy to complete a partial term of one year, beginning January 2016. The nine member volunteer Human Rights Commission was created in 2005 by the County’s Assembly of Delegates to promote equal opportunity, prevent discrimination, investigate and mediate complaints and provide human rights information.

The Barnstable County Health & Human Services Advisory Council reviews applications for this volunteer position and makes recommendations to the Barnstable County Commissioners. The County Commissioners appoint Commissioners to the Human Rights Commission.
