SALES VOLUME UP & VALUE FLAT!
Barnstable County Register of Deeds, John F. Meade, reports that the volume of real estate sales in June 2015 was up 12.2% from June 2014 volume and the total value of sales was up 8.6% from the previous year. The median individual property sale value was down 0.7% from the previous year. There was a 26% increase in the volume of mortgage activity from June 2014 levels.
Year to Date: Volume of Sales is down 0.64%; Total Value of Sales is up 0.02%; Individual Sales Value is up 1.9%; Mortgage Volume is up 26%.
Register Meade reports that there were 809 deeds recorded at the Barnstable Registry of Deeds in June 2015 with stated sales values above $50,000.00 representing a stated value of $350,605,534.00 in county-wide real estate sales. Based on all property sales valued above $50,000.00, the median sale price of property in Barnstable County in June was $330,000.00.
There were 1,292 mortgages recorded with values above $50,000.00 in June with a total value of $426,088.767.00. The median mortgage amount, commercial, residential or other, was $248,103.00.
By way of comparison, there were 721 deeds recorded at the Barnstable Registry of Deeds in June 2014 with stated sales values above $50,000.00 representing a stated value of $322,907,218.00 in county-wide real estate sales. Based on all property sales valued above $50,000.00, the median sale price of property in Barnstable County in June was $332,000.00.
There were 1,025 mortgages recorded with values above $50,000.00 in June with a total value of $354,926,518.00. The median mortgage amount, commercial, residential or other, was $237,000.00.
