Food pantry fulfills growing need in Wellfleet

The Wellfleet Food Pantry was the place to be on Wednesday, June 3, as Sandy Galvin, the food pantry’s new manager, opened the doors and welcomed all to come in and tour the place to get an idea of what it offers.
More than 40 townspeople stopped by during the open house and were greeted by Galvin, Marcia Sexton, the volunteer who orders all their foods from the Boston Food Bank, and Bette Maier, a volunteer who makes trips to the Dollar Store in Dennis to get items, using donation money, to stock the shelves with essentials.
There are people in Wellfleet who go to bed hungry, and the food pantry is doing its best to deal with this problem.
