Barnstable County Issues Mass In Motion Community-Based Request for Proposals:
Barnstable County’s Department of Human Services and Resource Development Office have issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to the more than 30 Cape Cod Hunger Network food pantries and meal programs located in Barnstable County. The goal of this RFP is to engage community-based organizations in helping BCDHS achieve one of five of its Mass In Motion Wellness and Municipal Leadership Grant Objectives: To implement strategies to increase availability of healthier food options at the Cape Cod Hunger Network’s approximately 30 member food pantries and meal programs located throughout Barnstable County.
There will be two awards of up to $9,000 each for the period July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013. Although the applicant must be a Cape Cod Hunger Network food pantry or meal program, we encourage collaboration with other organizations, agencies and businesses in the applicant’s service area.
