MRC Explorer Post 911 Holds Information Meeting
The Cape Cod Medical Reserve Corp held an informational meeting for it’s new Learning for Life Explorer Post 911. Kids and their parents were invited to find out what the Post is all about as well as enjoy refreshments and team-based activities.
The meeting began with an introduction by the Director of the MRC and the Post Committee Chair, Jean Roma, explaining the purpose of forming a new Explorer Post and the benefits of joining. Next, Susan Rask, Lead Adult Advisor explained what each of the posts meetings would consist of.
Following the introductions, kids and parents were split up, with parents being given more specific information about the Post and the kids getting to participate in team-building exercises.
Finally, all were brought back together to wrap up the meeting and discuss the events at the first official Post meeting, on January 20th.
Of the 14 kids in attendance, 10 signed up to be the initial members of Explorer Post 911!
